Winemaking Tips

In our In-Store Winery, we take care of every aspect of your wine between the time you start it and you come back to bottle it.

If you are making your wine at home, there are simple steps you can take to ensure your efforst result in the best wine possible, every time (we get many requests for advice, sometimes ‘after the fact’).

Here are some tried and true winemaking tips:

  • Always follow the recipe included in your kit
  • Always record the batch number provided on the top of the box or concentrate bladder
  • Always do hydrometer readings
  • Ask us before using a heat belt
  • Wine should never exceed 14 days in primary fermenter
  • Thoroughly clean all equipment with chloriclean prior to each use

Remember we are here to help. If you don’t find what you need here, please don’t hesitate to contact us via email or phone (902) 457-3072.

Happy Winemaking!
