Love Wine, No Space, No Time ?

admin March 15th, 2010

Wouldn’t it be nice to make your wine in a retail setting with knowledgeable, friendly staff?

In five other provinces, most notably New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island, you can make your wine  in-store as opposed to home.  No heavy lifting, no storage issues, guaranteed results.

For five years I have petitioned the Nova Scotia Government to change the outdated laws but to no avail. Currently it is unlawful to make wine in-store (U-vint) in Nova Scotia, but if you want to be part of and affect change, visit our website, www.UVintNS.ca and send a letter to the Premier.  The more Nova Scotians that send letters, the greater our chance that the Government will change the laws.

Thank you for your support.

We are excited about our new Limited Release wine kits, coming soon. Read on for all the details, and order yours soon as they are available by pre-order only.

COASTAL SUNSET – CHILE

CHILE is a long, narrow country that is geographically and climatically dominated by the Andres mountain range to the east and the spectacular Pacific Ocean to the west. Wine has been a part of Chile’s heritage dating back to the 16th century and is home to many great varietals.

Wine Kitz has created unique proprietary red and white wine blends featuring 2 of the most recognized red and white varietals sourced from beautiful Chile. Similar to the distinct colours in the sunset that blend together in the night sky, the two unique varietals in the Coastal Sunset wines are distinct on the own yet magical as a blend together.

A colourful blend of Carménère and Merlot: Subtle oak aromas with cherry and a hint of spice make this fabulous blend stand out from the crowd. Ruby red to brick red in colour, this wine is rich in red fruit flavours with a spicy finish.

Matches well with beef, duck in mushroom or red wine sauces. Seafood includes tuna or salmon. Also a nice complement to wild rice, mushrooms and mild cheeses.

Alcohol by volume: 12.5% | Sweetness: Dry | Country of Origin: Chile

A colourful blend of Riesling and Semillon: Pale straw in colour, this wine is a balanced blend of floral and citrus aromas and flavours. Lemon and peach can be found in the flavour followed by a crisp, slightly sweet finish.

Will accent any meals with smoked salmon, oysters, mussels scallops, shrimp and fried calamari. The crispness works will with BBQ or spicy chicken wings, pork ribs or roast, baked ham, veal, chicken. Some soft, lighter cheeses such as Mozzarella, Brie, Camembert will also go well with this wine.

Alcohol by volume: 12% | Sweetness: Medium | Country of Origin: Chile

These wine kits are available by pre-order only until Thursday, August 5th, 2010 – In store approximately August 23rd, 2010
